Davis Group Plans Medical Center in Maplewood

After almost five years of planning and work, Davis is set to begin development of the 140,000 SF Hazelwood Medical Center located across from St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN. The first phase of this $3.76 million development will include an 80,000 SF anchor building with HealthEast as the major tenant.
The project will complement existing health care options in the nearby area, strengthening the medical campus around St. John’s Hospital. HealthEast will use the facility as a primary care clinic with an imaging center and a 20,000 SF surgery center. Mike Martin, Maplewood’s economic development coordinator, said, “This project will definitely be a good fit for the area, an established medical sector in this part of the city.”
